Can I take my test online?
No. The state of Nevada does not permit online tests. Testing must be done in person at the testing center.
When will I receive my alcohol education card?
You will receive your card as soon as you pass your test.
What is the passing score on the test?
You must score a 75%. If you do not pass you can re-take the test; no addition fee is due.
How long are alcohol education cards and TAM Cards valid?
What do I need to bring with me when I come to take my test?
A government issued photo ID. You do not need to bring the certificate from the online course as we can verify your course completion by looking up your name.
How much does the alcohol awareness course cost?
Are any extra fees due at the testing center?
No. The $25 covers everything.

Do you have a refund policy?
We will only issue a refund if you have not completed the course. If you have completed the course or received your alcohol education card, we will not issue a refund.
If I lost my alcohol education card or TAM Card, can you replace it?
We can only replace cards issued at our office on Rancho Dr. There is a $10 fee. If you lost a TAM Card please contact TAM of Nevada directly; we cannot replace cards issued by TAM of Nevada.
How long does the online course take to complete?
Approximately 3.5 hours. You can do the online course in one session or multiple sessions.
My employer told me to obtain a TAM Card. Will my employer accept your card?
Yes. The card you obtain by completing this course online is as legally accepted under Nevada law as a TAM Card.
If I currently have a TAM Card, can I use this online course and obtain a new alcohol education card?
Yes, you may still take the online course if you need to replace an expired TAM Card. Your new alcohol education card will be valid for four years.
Is the online course the same as the classroom course offered by TAM of Nevada?
The online course follows the minimum required cirriculum as stipulated by Nevada law.
Does Nevada law specifically require people to have a "TAM Card"?
No, the statutes use the term "alcohol education card". There is no such thing as a "TAM Card" in the NRS.
The representative at TAM of Nevada stated that they are the 'only' official provider in Nevada. What does this mean?
They tell everyone that and then ask you to pay them money to do their proprietary course called Techniques of Alcohol Management after you have already completed the online course. So you end up paying twice.
The representative at TAM of Nevada stated that large employers only accept their TAM Cards. What does this mean?
Same answer as above.
Are alcohol education cards required to have pictures?
No. Nevada law does not require pictures. You can NOT use an alcohol education card as ID.
Why do TAM Cards have pictures on them?
A marketing ploy to make you think their product has more value.
Why did TAM of Nevada move from their office on Sahara Ave?
They were evicted after defaulting on their lease and owing $17,000 in back rent.
Is TAM of Nevada a local Nevada-based company?
No, they are based in Michigan as is O/E Learning, the company who manages the Las Vegas, NV office.
Will the alcohol education card issued by this course have my social security number on it?
No. Due to identity theft, we do not put your SS# on the card. In fact, we don't even ask for it. You will have a unique ID# instead. Older TAM Cards to have SS#s on them. We suggest you put them in a paper shredder.
